A marquee is a huge dark volume once the sun drops. Eight par cans on a controller wash the walls and the ceiling lining, and truss totems give you height without touching the marquee structure.
UNSW and campus events
Balls, orientation events and society parties. We deliver a road case of par cans with a controller so a student committee can run the whole rig themselves without hiring an operator.
Hall functions and community events
Randwick halls are big, bright and unflattering. Par cans on a lighting tree plus a smoke machine change the room completely, and the smoke is what makes the beams visible in the first place.

Randwick hire questions
Do I need a smoke machine for the lights to look good?
For beams, yes. A moving head or a laser throws a beam you cannot see unless there is something in the air for it to catch. Without haze or smoke you only see the spot where the beam lands.
Can I run the lighting myself?
Yes. Our par cans come in a road case with a controller, and most effects have a remote or a sound-to-light mode that just works. No operator needed for a standard party or ball.
Will a venue let me use smoke?
Ask them first. Plenty of Randwick halls and marquees are fine with it, but smoke sets off some fire systems. If the answer is no, we will light it with par cans and up lights instead.
